Co- Washing is the Best!

So two days ago I co-washed with Aussie Moist conditioner, followed it up with my Aphogee two minute reconstructor and then deep conditioned with Kera care Humecto and Olive oil. After, I put my aphogee leave in conditioner and the green tea restructerizer. I then did a braid out and when I took them down the next morning my hair was soft as a babys bottom! Could not believe how moisturized it felt! I am going to start doing co-washes at least once a week.

Heading out to the mall to relieve some stress :)

Hope everyone has a fabulous weekend!

My 1st Rollerset!!!!!!

Last night was an adventure. I washed and deep conditioned my hair and decided to do a roller set. Boy was I in for a surprise! I did not think it would be so difficult. It took me almost an hour to roll my entire head. Well maybe that is because I have a big head...lol. Aside from the fact, the task was still daunting... I was so ready to give up. Luckily I did not. I sat under the dryer for about 45 minutes then I let it air dry the rest of the way. I loved the turn out!

Let Freedom Ring!

Today is the day we celebrate the life of Dr. King and give him thanks for his courage and charisma in leading the Civil Rights Movement. Dr. Kings vision was always based on hope and equality for all. He had a dream that one day people would be judge not by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character and tomorrow his Dream will be realized when Barack Obama is sworn into office as the 44th President of the United States. I can not thank Dr. King and all of the men and women who died and fought so that we could witness the historic day that will take place on Jan. 20, 2009. I am soooo proud to be an American and to know that my country has come this far. What a blessing it is! Now I firmly believe that anything is possible if you just believe. Yes We Can!

More than what I wanted :)

Today I was browsing the internet and came across Cece Winans video..."more than what I wanted".This video touched me in such an awesome way. Cece Winans really sang this song beautifully. You know everytime I think about how good God has been to me...it just brings me to tears. No one can ever love me the way that Jesus loves me. I can not thank him enough for never giving up on me. A while back I always looked in the wrong places to help me through my trial and tribulations. It never got me anywhere. Now I realize that everything I need in my life I already have and I find it all in My Lord & Savior. Hope everyone has a blessed day :)

Caruso mistake :(

So last night I did a light protein treatment consisting of two eggs and some olive oil. I then followed my regular regimen. Loved the way my hair felt afterwards. I then let my hair air dry about 90% and then tried to use the Caruso steam rollers ...big mistake!!!..My hair was really big and poofy when I took them out...Yikes!! Next time I will make sure that my hair is completely dry. I was just really tired last night and did not feel like waiting for my hair to dry.Other than that they did give my hair nice curls...it was just to voluminous.Today I just decided to throw it in a pony tail. Guess this was a lesson learned

8 weeks Post Relaxer...I did it!!!

8 weeks has been the longest I have ever went without a perm. I am still in shock! Normally I relax every 6 weeks, because my hair is very coarse. The journey has not been so bad, I definitely have alot of growth....the middle and back of my head is something wicked...lol. What made this stretch possible was co-washing...it made my new growth soft and manageable...it has been my life saver! Anyways I'm going to get my hair relaxed tomorrow...can't wait to see my growth. I'll post pics sometime this weekend.

Love the Pastrys Sneaker Line!! The line is very retro and girlie and the product names make your mouth water...lol. The sneaker pictured to the right is Blackberry Glam Pie. Now, I have not worn sneakers in ages, but I just might have to bring them back into my life. I want these ASAP!

Go check them out at www. pastrykicks.com. They also have handbags and clothes which are equally as FAB.

Flat twist out

So I prepooed with olive oil and coconut oil then washed with keracare detangling shampoo and deep conditioned with keracre humecto... then I flat twisted my hair while it was damp and took it out the next day. This was the result. I did not care too much for it....it was my first time doing flat twist so maybe I just need more practice.
